The Brand Strategy team at Twitter works with the world’s top advertisers to develop strategic and creative marketing solutions that help connect brands to specific target audiences on the platform in moments that matter. From advanced content planning to developing large-scale, innovative marketing programs, the Brand Strategy team helps brands connect with users in creative ways that drive high engagement and meet key objectives. The Technical Program manager is a critical role in helping marketers develop more technically advanced programs on Twitter. This individual will work closely with the broader Brand Strategy team, sales teams, as well as directly with clients and agencies to help translate business objectives and challenges into innovative programs that create and intersection between creativity and technology. This team member will manage all technical aspects of a custom program across multiple international markets, from ideation to development to execution to highlighting learnings. This person should also develop strong, collaborative relationships within the Twitter product, engineering, and design organisations, as well as serve as a key point person for 3rd party partners and developers across the globe.
Responsibilities:
• Define pragmatic architectures and solutions for high-value advertisers to build and execute effective campaigns on the Twitter platform
• Provide accurate work estimates and make resource requests and allocations based on project requirements and budgeted scope
• Manage implementation projects and all engineering aspects of development, from start to finish, including client expectations and project risks
• Track issues and develop mitigation and contingency plans
• Produce and maintain core project artifacts including schedules, status reports and technical documentation.
• Participate in new business opportunities; develop technical implementation proposals and scopes of work, presenting at all levels of a client’s organization
• Develop scalable technology strategies and architecture recommendations for partner engagements.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for third-party vendors, identifying partnership opportunities and integration points for specific projects
• Define and document best practices, and contribute to company knowledge sharing effort
• Liaise with key members of the consumer and revenue product and engineering teams to ensure Brand Strategy has the necessary tools to build programs
Qualifications:
• Experience with software development and methodologies
• Experience in working with APIs and a strong understanding of their implementation
• 8+ years experience in digital media
• Experience delivering innovative technology for major brands, agencies, or media partners
• Expertise in managing complex projects, leading teams and managing client interaction for large multinational brands Demonstrable leadership abilities in changing, ambiguous and challenging situations
• Ability to work cross-functionally, across multiple timezones and on tight deadlines
• Passion for web and emerging technology and software development, current with industry trends and their application
• Excellent understanding of best practices across technologies (client/server-side, QA, deployment, project management etc.)
• Strong grasp of architectural principles necessary for designing scalable, extensible and maintainable systems
• Ability to identify and secure key partnership that help scale custom advertising programs.
• English fluency required; additional languages a plus
