A part of Yahoo Media/Editorial organization, Yahoo! Studios is the premiere digital production team based entirely within Yahoo! We are a team of 100+ creative developers, producers, Talent, post-producers, graphics designers, programmers and we produce dozens of video content (Signature Programming including Live, Quick Hits, Social), every day for our Yahoo News, Finance, Sports, Entertainment and Yahoo Style & Beauty digital properties.
Yahoo Studios produces content for the North American audience, in the field and out of 3 studio spaces in Sunnyvale, Los Angeles (Playa Vista), and New York City.

Production Intern
Based in New York City, New York, or Playa Vista, California, USA
Yahoo! Studios is looking for a Production Intern to help its team accelerate its efforts and increase its footprint in digital and mobile video original content.
The Production Intern is a truly digitally-versatile content producer, whose primary responsibility will be to create, produce, edit and publish original video content for PC and mobile platforms, across News, Finance and Style/Beauty (in NYC) | Entertainment and Sports (in Playa Vista). The Production Intern will work hand-in-hand with the Yahoo Studios and Editorial teams to create brand-defining video content, from concept, ideation and development, to creative execution, publishing and success monitoring.
Your Day:
Main:
1. Contribute to the content creation (research, writing, editing, publishing) and performance of original video content on mobile platforms, an and off Yahoo sites and apps: breaking news, live, VOD, scripted series.
2. Collaborate with hosted talent and editorial on-air personalities. Potentially appear on-camera.
3. Contribute to Yahoo Studios development slate.
Required:
• Currently enrolled in Journalism School with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Ability to generate new ideas and execute concepts for videos and franchises, particularly on mobile.
• Proficiency with editing and content creation software including Adobe Production Suite, Wordpress, MS Office and Final Cut Pro.
• Excellent writing and editorial skills. Sound editorial judgment and creativity are a must, as is the ability to maintain a deadline.
• Excellent understanding of social/mobile media trends.
• Excellent presentation skills; English.
• Expertise in social media video distribution on all major platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.
