Position Summary:
We are looking to fill a role which is pivotal within One Discovery World Creative team. The role consists in supporting the One Discovery World team (ODW) in London growing the Brand Partnership business. ODW is the team selling advertising and partnership across the whole Discovery Network International portfolio, including Eurosport.
The role will have a primary focus on Eurosport, but over time the expertise is expected to also cover the other platforms.
The role entails helping the London based international sales team winning new business by devising bespoke, forward thinking, cross platform creative solutions that can help brands overcome their communication challenges. This will be achieved by developing close relationships with the offer and editorial teams in Paris and an expertise in the network’s offering and USP, by getting to understand the brands challenges and by coming up with innovative partnerships ideas across all available media (TV, digital, social, event) and coordinating production for branded content projects.
The role would suit a person with a strong creative mind, a passion for content-driven advertising, a solid understanding of digital & social media, and a brand strategist or marketer profile. Passion for sport a strong plus!
Responsibilities:
• Forming strong relationships with the internal teams in the Eurosport Paris headquarter, and especially the Offer, editorial, and production teams. Developing an expertise in the Eurosport main events and programming strategy and offering.
• Attending clients’ briefing sessions
• Participating with the team to brainstorming sessions when proactively approaching clients or responding to briefs, and contributing with relevant innovative and integrated solutions.
• Conducting research around the brand to help refine the brief: positioning, past media activities, key challenges and competitors
• Developing winning creative solutions and a media strategy for brands.
• Articulating the creative ideas into slides.
• Presenting the creative route to clients.
• Managing and coordinating the production process for jobs assigned to the editorial team, to the in-house creative team for commercial projects, and to the third party companies as well – accountable for budget, schedule, approval process and delivery.
• Create relationship with external production companies (TV & Digital) and brief them when relevant to respond to clients’ demands.
• Keeping abreast of new media and sports trends
Requirements:
• Exceptional creative skills, and proven experience of having devised, pitched and won creative/partnership campaigns. Demonstrable track record of producing complex, high value innovative ideas across several media, especially digital & social
• Extensive experience in a media environment ideally a creative agency, or a digital or social platform with solid understanding of the brand partnership business
• Confident, articulate, with an excellent written and verbal English
• Good ability to convey ideas into visuals. Good command of Power Point a strong plus.
• Team player with an ability to foster collaborative working relationships and build alliances with key stakeholders. Ability to work with several departments with the aim of motivating and coordinating people towards a common goal.
• Having worked in an international environment a plus
• Need to demonstrate excellent project management skills
• Experience in working under pressure while meeting tight deadlines and delivering a budget.
• Ability to adapt to change in an evolving business environment
• IT competency in Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel, Word. Adobe a Plus.
• Passion for sports strong plus
Beyond the requirements above, for the preferred candidate:
• Travel to our non UK offices may be required from time to time
• Fluency in French language is an advantage
