A Little About Us
Yahoo’s Global Agency Development team is responsible for managing Yahoo’s relationships with global Holding Companies, Media Buying Groups, Trading Desks and all Branded Agencies (including Media, Planning and Creative). The team is the central point of contact for our senior level agency partners, serving as thought leaders and driving strategic initiatives on behalf of Yahoo.
A Lot About You
The Agency Development role will be focused on structuring relationships between Yahoo and our agency partners. This role will provide broad exposure and interaction with senior management within all of Yahoo’s business units including its web properties, sales and sales operations, strategic alliances, legal, finance, media, and product/technology organizations. Responsibilities are both strategic and tactical in nature. You must be results-driven, have strong analytical skills and be committed to creating new business opportunities.
Your Day
• Partner with the Agency Development team to develop new, creative and innovative ways for agencies to partner with Yahoo
• Work cross-functionally with Yahoo internal teams to strategize and structure deal terms
• Contribute to external negotiations for large multi-million dollar content, media, and technology deals with agencies and their advertisers
• Help set and enforce corporate business policies for contracting deals
You Must Have
• Bachelor’s Degree (JD or MBA a plus) with 7+ years of experience in agency/media sales (focus on digital)
• Be incredibly proficient in programmatic, biddable media, incentive structures and rebates
• Excellent business acumen and strong understanding of online space
• Experience structuring and successfully negotiating complicated deals
• Aptitude for managing multiple daily tasks & longer-term strategic projects
• Ability to be productive & focused in a fast-paced, team-oriented, layered environment
• Talent for working well independently or with a variety of teams within an organization
• Results oriented, extremely proactive & highly responsive with great attention to detail
• Capable of prioritizing & meeting aggressive timelines set by sales management
• Procurement experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
