Context
This role, which will complete a level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship is responsible for supporting colleagues in the strategic relationships team (particularly the Head of Apprenticeship Services and Head of Employer and Strategic Partners) and product management.
Support will be provided to engage with opportunities that arise from our relationships with trailblazer groups, individual employers and training providers, through administrative support, ad-hoc research, collating and sharing of intelligence and supporting the tender process. The success of the role will also be in working in partnership with colleagues in key areas such as portfolio management.
Key Accountabilities
• To support our engagement of apprenticeship trailblazer groups and the sharing of intelligence that arises with appropriate teams
• To support the setting up and tracking of prospects that arise from our engagement with apprenticeship trailblazer groups and employers more broadly.
• To undertake desk research to support the development of product and service propositions, including understanding competitor product and service offerings in the apprenticeship market.
• To support in the creation of tender submissions and propositions, engaging with key teams and individuals, from initial brief through to team presentation.
• To support the broad BTEC & Apprenticeships team in marketing our product and service offer, particularly at events and exhibitions, and in supporting colleagues to prepare for webinars.
• To support the set up and running of customer Advisory Boards and management of the Virtual Panel.

Qualifications
Person Specification
Ideal candidate: Desired behavioral competencies:
• Clear and methodical: particularly in managing workload, providing administrative support and sharing of information with key colleagues.
• Creative thinking and customer empathy: the ability to articulate outcomes of research and insight gathering
• Relationship building: in particular with customers, employers, professional bodies, commercial partners, government agencies and within Pearson
• Communication, networking and influencing externally and internally (in particular to work effectively with colleagues in Pearson across different sites and within a matrix structure)
Essential skills, qualifications and experience:
Experience of using Advanced office (including Excel), Google chrome office applications
Desk based research skills with ability to generate timely reports
Organisational skills and project management skills
Attention to detail balanced against delivery
Desirable skills, qualifications and experience:
• Experience of providing administrative support to a team
• Experience of supporting teams exhibiting at events
• Experience and understanding of apprenticeships and the UK education and skills market
Apprentices without Level 2 in Maths and English will need to complete this prior to End Point Assessment.
Business Administration Apprenticeship Framework – Level 3 (Advanced)
During the Apprenticeship, the post holder will work towards gaining Advanced Level 3 qualifications in Business Administration through work based learning.
As part of the training for the advanced Business Administration Apprenticeship you'll complete:
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration
• Level 3 Certificate in Business Administration
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English and mathematics
