Job Summary:

As part of the enterprise architecture team, the Enterprise Architect (Business Architecture focus) will work with other enterprise architects to cover one or more business domains. The architect will work with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, IT leaders, and others to understand the business domain, its value streams, capabilities, processes, information, gaps and inefficiencies. The architect will focus on defining a target-state architecture that meets current and future business needs in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with business and IT teams to architect enterprise solutions that align with business strategy and remain in synchronization with ever-changing business needs
• Assist in developing an architectural vision in areas of responsibility and help communicate it clearly with peers, executives, and non-technical audiences
• Identify gaps and build roadmaps to address them
• Document, visualize and communicate current-state and future-state architectures and designs
• Maintain the architecture repository, catalogs, and other artifacts in areas of responsibility
• Collaborate with the rest of the enterprise architecture team to develop enterprise-wide architectures that cross business domains and divisions
• Promote the streamlining of processes and the use of shared platforms, services, information, and applications to reduce costs and improve overall efficiency
• Provide business domain expertise to project teams
• Assist in evaluating business systems and providing selection recommendations
• Keep abreast of industry standards, trends, and major business vendors and leaders
• Break down assignments into manageable tasks and ensure transparency and visibility into backlog and progress
Skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent
• A minimum of 9 years of IT experience with at least 2 in business architecture
• Deep knowledge in the areas of business architecture and business process modeling (including expertise in BPMN)
• General understanding of technical architecture including application, infrastructure and data architecture, and software development practices
• Experience with industry standard methodologies and frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, Bizbok, eTOM/Frameworx, PCF/APQC, etc.
• Experience in working both independently and with multi-discipline teams, business stakeholders, and management in a large, globally-distributed corporate environment
• Team player who can collaborate across business units and IT
• Excellent communication skills including documenting, visualizing, presenting to a mixed/large audience, and balancing talking and listening
• Excellent leadership skills including collaboration, accountability, results driven, self-motivation, big-picture thinking, building strong relations, and negotiating
• High attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and task management skills
• Experience in media is a plus
