The Media Developer is responsible for implementing product development strategy and managing media products and services in the K-20 education markets. Working collaboratively with market strategists and content developers, the Media Developer is accountable for coordinating the production, testing, and updating of media products.
Qualifications
• College Degree or Diploma in information or web technologies or related field or equivalent qualification
• 2+ years of demonstrated web/app development experience
• Expertise in coding and programming with HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, JQuery, JSON, CSS
• Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility best practices
• Knowledge of Web Analytics and Data Analysis
• Forward-thinking, creative, flexible, with a desire to learn and grow oneself and others
• Experience with interface design, UX, and/or instructional design
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as AngularJS, EmberJS, Flux/ReactJS
• Experience with enterprise server-side technologies such as J2EE and .Net
Skills/knowledge/abilities:
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn new software programs and languages quickly
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills
• Build and coordinate productive, cooperative relationships with course production counterparts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of relational databases
• Experience with web design frameworks, UX, and interface design best practices is a plus
