A Little About Us
The Display Optimization Strategy team is part of Yahoo Sales. The team consists of Optimization Strategists who manage and optimize Yahoo Audience Ads campaigns, helping advertisers meet and exceed performance goals.
A Lot About You
Leveraging the best-in-class BrightRoll platform, the Optimization Strategist proactively recommends optimizations to frequency caps, targeting criteria, audience segments, creative, landing pages and supply sources across Display, Video and Mobile. As an Optimization Strategist Intern, you will assist our Optimization Strategy team with pre-sale, campaign set-up, and optimization tasks across a variety of advertiser accounts. You will work both independently, and in partnership with the OS and partner teams, to identify, prioritize and provide necessary service and proactive advice for improvement of campaigns ensuring long-term client success with Yahoo Audience Ads.
Your Day
• Partner on a set of our highest-value advertiser accounts together with your OS counterparts from pre-sale, campaign setup and optimization. • Assist OS with Daily/Weekly Delivery and Performance reports. • Work directly with OS team to identify opportunities and promote behavior that grows spend and ensures long-term client success with Yahoo Audience Ads. • Work independently on data and performance analysis to proactively provide recommendations to Optimization Strategist regarding potential tactics that will drive delivery or campaign performance. • Learn about Yahoo’s core Audience Products and Yahoo’s industry verticals to understand how Yahoo fits into the digital advertising ecosphere and where our value proposition lies within the market.
You Must Have
Pursuing a BA degree in marketing, advertising, math, statistics, or related field at an accredited college or university • GPA of 3.5 or higher • Strong interest in all facets of digital marketing, best practice campaign development and management, and a willingness to continue to stay contemporary on trends within the industry • Ability to solve problems and identify opportunities through the use of analytics and/or critical thinking • Solid communications skills, with an ability to “think on your feet” • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel • Experience working in a team environment • Basic knowledge of broad marketing & advertising trends and frameworks • Willingness to learn and actively participate
