The Role:
Leads the vision, development, management and maintenance of all digital products for CP24 and CTV News local including mobile web, mobile products, online sites and emerging platforms. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager of Digital - News, the manager works closely with the product, engineering and editorial teams and helps aligns them to the larger digital goals of Bell Media. The product manager also works with stakeholders and partners across the country to deliver consistently exceptional digital projects on high-profile news brands reaching millions of Canadians.
Responsibilities:
• Support the digital teams for CP24 and CTV News local markets across the country
• Lead the creation of feature digital products
• Develop digital product plans aligned with the brand and editorial strategies
• Work with engineering and other product managers to coordinate the development of digital products -- includes liaising with internal business units and external vendors
• Report to Senior Product Manager, Digital - News on status of all digital projects in progress, performance of products in-market and identify market opportunities
• Primary contact for internal and external stakeholders when it comes to new product development initiatives, product upgrades and performance
• Identify current and future product development needs and opportunities
• Work with all digital stakeholders to ensure that all current and new digital products are measurable by our analytics platform and comScore and optimized for search engines
• Support the business in the creation of digital products that will generate revenue, positively promote Bell Media’s digital brands while also maintaining editorial/brand integrity
• Monitor competition in the marketplace and recommend new market opportunities
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in a digital news, product or equivalent role
• Experience in executing digital strategy roadmaps across multiple brands
• Previously demonstrated experience focusing on platforms to enhance audience generation, mobile, video, data gathering, and media monetization
• Support multiple agile delivery teams with technical product management and architecture
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Possess a track record of driving results
• Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain creativity in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment, with multiple stakeholders
• Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
