Overview and Responsibilities
Viacom Velocity is a full-service marketing and creative content team built to super-serve our advertising partners. Our mission is to build strategic and creative custom content solutions across all platforms that connect our partners seamlessly into the fabrics of our brands. Velocity Social is the social media activations and earned media arm of Viacom Velocity responsible for the ideation, innovation, implementation and measurement of client specific programs that involve social media.
Velocity Social is looking for a motivated, dynamic, versatile coordinator to drive projects for external and internal partners. An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to adapt to a variety of business and cultural initiatives are critical. The Coordinator will provide support on various client-facing projects and internal initiatives, potentially including business and brand strategies, insights/trends studies, creative concept development, innovation strategy, internal communications and event execution.
Responsibilities
• Create and deliver creative/strategic presentations, project assignments, videos and briefing materials
• Research and analyze relevant industry and cultural trends, and look for innovation opportunities
• Support cross-disciplinary working team(s) in the development of project deliverables
• Communicating with colleagues within Velocity, such as creatives and IM teams, in the process of developing a campaign
• Developing Social content and distribution strategies that meet the advertisers brief and objectives
• Analyzing and interpreting social analytics and research data to strategize future campaigns
• Working with Ad Sales Research to commission research from outside organizations to inform advertising strategies, using both qualitative methods, such as focus groups and structured interviews, and quantitative methods, such as demographic profiling and questionnaires, to deliver press-worthy cultural insights that serve our IM teams and clients
• Gaining a comprehensive context for marketing strategies by analyzing a wide range of information in great detail, including demographics, socio-economics and the market for the client's product and market share
• Presenting conclusions and ideas to clients and other internal staff
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• A love and understanding of social media and branded content strategy
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint
Additional Qualifications
• 1 year in consulting, strategy, marketing/advertising (account management or planning), start-ups or tech preferred
• Curious self-starter, seeking challenging experience
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Expert in deck creation
• A drive for transformational, pioneering cultural work
• Flexibility, initiative, appetite for entrepreneurial environment and appreciation for various corporate cultures
• Strategic and analytical thinker with excellent written and interpersonal skills
