Hearst Digital Media is seeking a Fashion Director, Branded Content Studio to conceptualize, create and manage the fashion content—such as articles and slideshow galleries—the Studio creates in partnership with advertisers to run on all of our digital properties, including Elle.com, MarieClaire.com and Cosmopolitan.com.
Job Description
This position will report to the Director of the Branded Content Studio. You will conceptualize fashion stories, and work with our Art Director to produce branded shoots as well as package, report, write or assign and edit the corresponding fashion stories, managing projects from start to finish. In addition to working closely with other members of the Studio team of editors and art department, you will work in close partnership with project managers and our marketing team to create best-in-class fashion content that engages readers, meets or exceeds non-branded editorial and is true to the Hearst brands on which the content appears.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of fashion content campaigns—from generating unforgettable story ideas that engage readers while meeting our client’s aims through to the final hand-off of the stories
• Articulate your vision to clients and represent Hearst Content Studio in client meetings
• Keep multiple, concurrent campaigns on deadline in a fast-paced, creative environment
• Report and write or assign the copy, delivering polished stories
• Work closely with the photo department to produce custom photo shoots
• Partner with internal and external teams (including editorial, marketing and project management) to move complex, custom content projects forward
• Stay on top of the details for each campaign while maintaining your creative spark
Requirements:
• At least 10+ years experience as a Fashion Editor, including extensive experience on shoots
• Portfolio of clips that demonstrate creative fashion concepting and fashion reporting
• A positive and professional attitude at all times
• Excellent time management, communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to multi-task
