Responsibilities
The VP of Creative is a newly created role that is integral to the NBCU Networks strategy of launching and managing strong local PayTV channels under a portfolio of consistent and high quality brands.
Based in Mexico City this role will oversee the creative strategy, creative direction and execution of all on air channel communication for the NBCU portfolio of channels LATAM.
The person in this role will oversee the on air promotions, graphics and production/facilities teams, reporting to SVP of Creative and Marketing and managing teams in Mexico, Argentina and Venezuela.
This person needs to be an innovative, inspirational and organized leader.
Qualifications/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Lead and champion highly creative and effective campaigns through a rigorous strategic and concept led process, with a primary focus on the on air environments.
Manage and motivate on-air teams in order to raise creativity levels for on-air /off-air promotion and marketing.
Create and develop a collaborative creative process between Creative, Graphics and Production.
Together with Marketing and Programming, contribute to development communications strategies across multiple brands in multiple territories/languages that must deliver at a local level.
Responsible for quality and effectiveness of all creative on-air output.
Individual must have proven track record in successfully managing/developing creative teams, especially on-air promotion teams and, most importantly, have personal in-depth knowledge and exceptional ability in conceptualizing, ‘promo’ writing and editing.
Able to handle pressure, multitask whilst retaining focus and understanding key priorities, without compromising creative output.
Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and influencing skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels.
A deep understanding of marketing, promotions and creative services with relevant experience in a senior television role.
Comfortable leading in a matrix management organization.
A proven track record of branding and channel positioning success.
Deep product knowledge, excellent industry contacts and an understanding of the industry landscape.
Experience working as a part of a senior leadership team.
Experience creating and implementing multi-territory business processes.
A firm grasp of Promo campaign production.
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
A passion for television.
Preferably with international experience.
Strong leadership and motivation skills.
Willingness to undertake travel, as necessary.
