Job Introduction
Salary - Up to £62,000
We are looking for an experienced Traffic Head based in London to join BBC CREATIVE, the BBC’s new in-house Creative Agency.
We create promotional campaigns and branding for BBC programmes and services; our work is showcased on air every day if you look between the programmes. Under the Creative Leadership of Aidan McClure & Laurent Simon, who joined us recently from Adam and Eve http://aidanandlaurent.com/, we aim to deliver world class creative across all platforms.

Role Responsibility
As the Traffic Head you will be managing resources efficiently across the Creative department, this will including allocating personnel to projects and bringing in freelance talent where needed. Responsibilities will include tracking output, managing financial reporting and suppliers and overseeing local procurement. As a leader in the team you will supervise and manage an Operations/Traffic team, line managing Traffic Managers and Co-ordinators.
Responsibilities Include:
• To lead the Integrated Project Management function for the department
• To manage resource efficiently across the Creative department, allocating personnel to projects or areas as effectively as possible and bringing in freelancers where needed
• To track output and manage financial reporting
• To manage suppliers and oversee local procurement
• To drive robust cost control and accurate forecasting
• To supervise and manage an Ops / Traffic team (line managing Traffic Managers and Co-Ordinators)
• To deputise for the Head of Area, as required
The Ideal Candidate:
• An excellent understanding of and track record in the production of promotions and/or commercials along with up to date knowledge of the latest production technology.
• A sound understanding of the marketplace, both internal and external.
• Good negotiating skills in dealing with stakeholders and internal/external contractors.
• Excellent budgetary/finance management skills.
• Ability to contribute effectively to the Business Planning process and experience in forecasting & re-forecasting costs.
• Knowledge of computer based workflow management systems and of copyright procedures.
• Diplomatic and communication skills to deal tactfully with a variety of people at all levels and to work effectively as a team member.
• Excellent administration & organisational skills.
