We are seeking a Programming Manager to join Team Snapchat! Working closely with the Content team, you’ll play a key role in helping shape our overall programming slate across the Snapchat platform. As the Programming Manager, you’ll collaborate with our producers and Content development team to reach millions of Snapchatters every day.
What You’ll Do:
• Implement an ongoing editorial programming framework and strategy across Editions, Shows, and Live Stories
• Manage and drive a one year forward-looking editorial calendar holistically across our content products
• Drive the creation of innovative, high-value, and high-impact content experiences around big events, holidays, and other tentpole events
• Suggest good external partners to work with, and engage with them directly to achieve the Content team’s goals
• Identify and help address any content categories or audience segments that are being underserved
• Work with our Sales team to identify high value areas, and conceive innovative programs that delight audiences and sponsors alike while maintaining editorial integrity
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create high quality, impactful sales collateral
• Determine content promotion strategies based on audience interests and advertising program commitments
What We’re Looking For:
• 8+ years of relevant editorial and/or programming experience with a proven track record in developing successful programming, either on linear TV or a digital media property, where programming is an essential element of the service
• Strong editorial judgement and experience across a range of categories
• Passion for Snapchat and the evolution of digital and mobile content
• Someone with a keen understanding of popular trends and current events
• Great problem-solving and communication skills, as well as a solution-oriented mindset
• An excellent eye for details
• A deep understanding of digital media sales
