HR Operations background
Pearson is entering an exciting time in respect of the delivery of HR services to our employees. We are building a global HR Operations function, a key element of which is our move towards a shared services environment where we will deliver high quality HR services globally. Within our HR Operations teams we are looking for high performing HR professionals who will act as the first point of contact for our employees and who will drive consistency, accuracy and an outstanding level of service at all times. These teams will be the driving force behind Pearson moving into our new HR service delivery model. For successful candidates this role provides a unique opportunity to join Pearson at the very start of this journey and help us build and shape how we deliver services to our employees and add value to the business.
Key Deliverables
• Represent HR Operations in the delivery of the agreed Roadmap for the Rest of World Fusion deployment countries
• Ensure the project plan and activities for HR Operations are realistic and complete for each country deployment
• Attend project status meetings to track overall programme progress and manage status reporting and resulting actions
• Collaborate with HR Operations colleagues to deliver against the following key areas for each country:
◦ PPS Process Transition and Knowledge Transfer and PPS documentation for country localisations
◦ Application of the Knowledge Management strategy and associated portal preparation
◦ Representation of the Global Design and the management of proposed changes to it
• Support the creation of the Deployment Toolkit throughout Q1 2017
• Attend country mobilisation sessions and confirm HR Operations agreement on scope
• Support the Local SD&CI teams with transition activities such as running service rehearsal, facilitating and delivering knowledge transfer sessions and supporting with training delivery for any new services/scope we bring into Pearson People Services
• Line Management of 2 Process team members who will be responsible for content of materials used to support the deployment of processes transitioning to PPS
Qualifications
Essential Skills /Experience
• Previous experience of working within an HR Operations / Shared Service Center model
• Project management experience
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Organised and ability to prioritise workload
• Ability to build relationships with overseas/remote teams
• Proven ability to work within tight timelines
• Think critically, to recognize/anticipate a problem (technical, operational, process, organizational), and to identify and implement best solutions in a timely manner
• Knowledge of ServiceNow & Oracle Fusion would be beneficial
