Business Analyst
JOB OVERVIEW:
As a BA responsible for Business Requirements Analysis, you will be part of a team that is critical in driving Arvato’s future success. The role will serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) to provide requirements to both the services and solution development teams to meet customer needs and expectations. The consulting team is the initial point of contact with customers for scoping and business development activities.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Elicit requirements using business process descriptions and use cases to analyze and develop a deep understanding of client business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Analysis of current business processes and high-level maps of future business processes to find the most efficient and effective business rules and procedures for the client in question – find ‘ best practice’ for Client
• Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate improved client processes and smooth project implementation
• Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project Manager
• Drive and challenge internal/external clients on their assumptions and critical success factors to successfully measure success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the service delivery teams through which requirements flow.
• Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
• Conduct an impact analysis work on planned operational changes and project initiatives for new and existing clients to ensure that the scoping document takes implications/risks of the project into account.
• Responsible for delivery of roadmap reporting, regular reviews to senior management, stakeholders and Clients alike in a timely and professional manner
• Responsible for working with senior engineers to devise accurate estimates for work completion and adhere to them.
• Ability to keep in mind the bigger picture such as roadmaps, product/services evolution strategy and goals.
• Responsible for communicating propositions and ideas at the highest customer level and influence agreement and acceptance
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Business or IT is preferable
• Minimum of five years of working experience is desirable
• Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) experience and knowledge on client-focused external systems such as telephony- / communication systems desired
• Experience in identification of Internal and External Client requirements
• Demonstrable experience in writing requirements & specifications for IT Solutions and Services
• Experience in project lifecycle – outstanding milestones and identification of Assumptions, Issues, Risks and Dependencies
• Advanced skills in Ms Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word essential
