The B2B Events Project manager is responsible for logistical management and implementation of all branded and/or sponsored conferences and events including evaluating opportunity, communications outreach, attendee logistics, booking venues, organization of collateral, etc.
Job Description:
• Plan and develop NRG (inclusive of all Nature brands and Scientific American) B2B client event strategic /roadmaps and calendars, aligning to business goals and objectives with measurable KPIs and ROI reconciliation
• Deliver creative event concepts to develop memorable, unique and scalable experiences for both internal and external customers
• Plan and develop institutional partnership conferences and events through a range of communications activities and logistics
• In concert with Market Research project manager, plan qualitative research events including focus groups and advisory board meetings
• In concert with respective sales and marketing teams, plan, develop and execute B2B portion of annual Global Sales Meeting
• Facilitate Display, Sponsorship/Custom and Classified business events on as needed basis in support of marketing plans
• Develop, maintain and update vetting of proposed product briefs from internal teams to ensure alignment of business goals and ROI
• Create & manage project plans, schedules/milestones, and event requirements
• Lead event debriefs with stakeholders to consistently track KPIs in a way that allows for evaluation of success across all events
• Create quarterly and yearly budgets and forecasts, while accurately tracking expenses
• Assist in all areas of event execution as needed
Requirements:
• 5+ years experience in event management for corporate clients/customers
• Proven track record of successful events generating leads and attracting new business
• Experience working with sales account representatives
• Excellent time and organizational management skills
• Effectiveness in handling complexity, change and challenge in the external and corporate environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Experience with web analytics such as Google Analytics and WebTrends
• Creative sense, copywriting
• Digital/Social media marketing expertise and awareness
• Willingness to travel as needed (20%)
