Overview:
The Merchandise Analyst is responsible for achieving sales and efficiency goals through the category management of the Newsstand which is executed through vendor partnerships and internal analysis. The Merchandise Analyst serves as a primary contact for vendor partners and oversees processes including product procurement, order regulation, replenishment, and supply chain logistics. The Newsstand Merchandise Analyst supports sales sales-drivingts through store training, merchandise layout reviews and additional store specific analysis uncovering opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Perform detailed analysis on a variety of Newsstand initiatives designed to achieve sales and marketing goals
• Support product procurement, including identifying and sourcing new product opportunities and new title buying
• Oversee vendor managed inventory processes including order regulation and replenishment
• Oversee supply chain logistics for direct to store deliveries, including delivery methods and schedules
• Support Newsstand store operations, provide training support as well as troubleshoot/resolve a range of store-specific concerns
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree; Business, Marketing, Management, Supply Chain Logistics a plus
• 3 years of retail experience a plus
• Strong analytical skills are a must
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word
