The Sun Sentinel is seeking an experienced Digital Media Salesperson for our Cars.com team!
This individual will act as a Cars.com Digital Media Consultant for the Sun Sentinel advertising department, with responsibility for maintaining and developing relationships with Franchise and Independent automotive dealers in the South Florida. Our business-to-business consultants are responsible for selling a value based online advertising solution for automotive clients. Our enthusiastic and driven consultants focus on growth of existing accounts, prospect for new opportunities, speak with decision makers to analyze their needs, and effectively deliver value-added solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and aggressively grow Cars.com and other automotive Sun-Sentinel advertising solution revenue in designated assignments through prospecting, cold calls and relationship development.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Franchise and Independent dealers. Leverage these relationships to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Ensure both customers and prospects have a detailed understanding of our products through a consultative selling approach.
• Maintain a high level of customer service through training and customer support.
• Ensure current dealer satisfaction by responding quickly and accurately to dealer problems, concerns, or needs.
• Help proactively market Cars.com to dealers in territory and convey the advantages of Cars.com.
• Manage and monitor contracts.
• Attend all pertinent Cars.com training sessions as needed to maintain the highest product knowledge and emerging automotive digital industry trends.
• Responsible for attaining and exceeding high revenue and account retention goals.
Qualifications:
• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Liberal Arts or equivalent related experience in Marketing and/or Sales. Candidate must be analytical, highly motivated, persuasive, and have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Typically requires a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in Sales or a related field in Digital Media. Automotive experience preferred but not required.
• Require expertise to understand the critical role of networking and building internal and external networks to increase personal effectiveness.
• Candidates must have a winning attitude and be self-motivated.
• Well organized, with strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Proactive, results-orientated and self-starter.
