Responsibilities
Position Overview:
The Vice President, Ad Sales Marketing Strategy for Fandango is a dedicated leader responsible for driving, developing and executing revenue generating strategy and marketing solutions for suite of Fandango assets (Fandango, FandangoNOW, Rotten Tomatoes), the go-to destination for more than 30 million moviegoers each month, helping fans discover, buy tickets, watch movies and share their passion for movies in a more engaging and interactive way. As an integral member of the Fandango team, the successful candidate will work closely with the Fandango senior leadership and Sales team, and serve as a thought leader and tactical solution visionary to grow the Fandango advertising business. Reporting to SVP, Network Partnerships with direct accountability to the President of Fandango, this position will lead the Fandango sales marketing team and sales vision to identify, develop and evangelize Fandango’s value proposition to both endemic and non-endemic advertiser categories, and pro-actively develop opportunities to align with revenue challenges, new product and data offerings, ad operations and multi-platform strategies, propelling Fandango as NBCU’s premiere pure play digital brand.
Responsibilities:
• Lead ad sales strategy and align Fandango/Rotten Tomatoes Content, Marketing, Data, Technology teams with NBCUniversal Sales Organization (inclusive of data, research, ad operation/technology) to develop and execute advertiser offerings and solutions inclusive of media, data, content and marketing-based opportunities that are distinctive to endemic studio and non-endemic categories.
• Create and socialize these offerings and packaging strategies across the key internal constituents to ensure feedback and full adoption across all teams
• Lead the sales marketing team to develop winning solutions for all client-specific RFPs and brainstorms, formulating marketable sales strategies that are customized to fit specific client objectives; includes brainstorming and liaising with digital editorial/production teams to create compelling sales programs
• Identify and develop new sales opportunities by identifying high-interest digital experiences, new site-specific content features, mobile, social and emerging ad platforms that will serve as compelling drivers for client strategy and conversations
• Oversee the post-sale process to ensure exceptional client service and campaign execution
• Constantly refine Fandango go-to-market strategy to stay competitive and relevant within the evolving digital landscape
• Be the Fandango thought leader to interface with senior clients and agency prospects
Dynamics:
• Be a positive force between Fandango sales marketing, content, marketing, technology teams and Ad Sales organization to foster communication and relationships
• Engage internal resources and support them in order to drive success and strengthen relationships
• Successful leader who is able to work well across an organizational matrix
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in digital ad sales marketing with experience within the entertainment space working with movie studios, advertising agencies and/or digital companies with ad supported revenue, or highly related experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience successfully managing cross-platform and/or digital sales promotion teams

Desired Characteristics
• Studio experience is highly valued
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a team consisting of marketing, operational and creative staff
• Demonstrated ability to strategically advise and influence ad sales marketing direction with senior leadership
• Established network of agency and client relationships preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent executive-level presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with the standard digital analytics tools (Omniture, @Plan, comScore, etc.) and ability to derive insights from the data
• Ability to travel as needed
• Bachelor’s Degree highly desired, advanced degree preferred
