Purpose of the Role: The Marketing Specialist - MarCom is responsible for supporting projects, collateral, and other assets to implement state, regional and strategic marketing campaigns by assisting Marketing Directors and Managers as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Senior Director Marketing Communications – Global Sales Strategy & Marketing (GSSM), the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the following primary job duties:
• Execute and support designated marketing projects including but not limited to, in-person and virtual events, direct marketing, emarketing, social media promotion, collateral creation and management, and supporting team members as needed with projects.
• Collaborate with the Sales and the rest of their GSSM colleagues in the transfer of the strategy to tactical and operational execution.
• Assist GSSM Marketing and Services colleagues in implementing marketing and promotional plans as appropriate for area field sales needs.
• Managing marketing campaign tactics and related processes/workflows including inputing and montoring creative jobs through corporate marketing workflow systems.
• Monitor and ensure GSSM Marketing Services related internal project trackers and lists are current, and update colleagues and stakeholders as needed.
• Coordinate and oversee project production, print specifications, and delivery dates to ensure timelines are met.
• Collaborates with designers and Project Management in order to manage project quality and meet specifications.
• Anticipates and communicates project risks and issues, and manages daily aspects of project delivery. Delivers regular progress updates on marketing projects and activities.
• Use quantitative data and qualitative analysis to determine effectiveness of marketing plans and promotional campaigns
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Communication or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience providing marketing support.
• Previous digital marketing, webpage content, collateral creation using software tools such as WordPress or other required.
• Demonstrated track record of handling multiple projects simultaneously while paying strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
• Superior inter-personal skills with all levels.
• Understand basic marketing and online marketing strategy and tactics including social media.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and manage to priorities.
• Able to present complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Additional Requirements Preferred:
• K12 Education / K12 Classroom / Teaching experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Professional and Microsoft Office, InDesign preferred.
• Experience with SalesForce a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time possibly being domestic air travel and/or driving between customer sites.
