Role and Responsibilities:
As the Director of Strategy, Business Development and Operations for Autodesk’s Education segment you will manage a team of business development, data analytics and operations professionals to deliver the following:
• Strategy and planning. Drawing from your previous experience, and in close collaboration with product management and field engagement, you will drive our strategic planning process and define our go-to-market strategy, including identifying the markets, segments, personas, and channels we pursue, and in what sequence.
• Market sizing and competitive analysis. You will have your finger on the pulse of relevant Education market/competitive/technology trends and players, and use this knowledge to quantify our overall market opportunity and inform and evolve our strategy. You will keep the team and key stakeholders abreast of changes as they occur.
• Packaging and positioning. Based on the strategy you defined, and working closely with the product management team, you will identify and prioritize the Education market’s requirements and package and position our offerings to ensure they deliver unique and differentiated valued to the segments we pursue.
• Business Models and Pricing. You will work closely with Autodesk’s business model, analytics and cloud operations teams to ensure we meet our strategic objectives but also Autodesk’s cloud profitability goals.
• Reporting and analytics. You will identify the appropriate metrics, develop and publish our monthly dashboards, and provide ongoing analysis on the impact of our efforts against our quarterly and annual Education goals.
• Operations. You will work closely with product management, customer support, operations, finance and legal to define our offerings and to build and optimize our processes to ensure we are delivering delightful customer experiences, at scale globally.
• Sales plays. You will drive the development of ‘sales plays’ so that the Autodesk’s field organizations know how to find the right opportunities for our offerings within their Education accounts.
• Managing and coaching. Drawing from your extensive professional network you will recruit, develop and get the best from your team.

Our ideal candidate will have the following experience
• Holds a degree in engineering and/or finance with an MBA from a top-tier program.
• Has 10+ years of management consulting, strategy, product management, and/or business development experience with a CAD/CAM or SaaS provider.
• 3-5 years experience in educational market required
• Knowledge of Autodesk’s products preferred
• Possesses intellectual horsepower and the ability to craft creative and practical solutions, and is rarely satisfied with the status quo.
• Is a proven executor with prior success leading large, disparate teams through complex projects.
• Loves numbers and is adept at financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Is a poised communicator with prior experience advising and influencing senior leaders.
• Is energized by meeting new people and building relationships.
• Thrives in a team environment and is the kind of person we’d enjoy spending time with outside of working hours – fun, energetic, and down-to-earth.
• An understanding and passion for either/all design, engineering, product lifecycle management, advanced manufacturing, and construction management.
• Willingness to travel, including internationally, up to 30%
