Description
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and hunting to find new business to be closed through the Channel. This job is assigned a sales quota and performance is measured by meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual targets by up-selling, add-on sale and cross-selling. This position reports to a Territory Sales Hub Manager, and will work closely with broader Inside Sales Team, Autodesk Partner Management, Autodesk Channel Partners, and Autodesk Field Sales.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct outbound customer calls with a required minimum number of 60-80 calls daily.
• Understand customer issues and requirements in order to recommend a specific Autodesk product or industry solution.
• Maintain basic knowledge of Autodesk products, competitive products, and industry trends as well as Autodesk Subscription and Advanced Support.
• Maintain strong understanding of promotions and campaigns related to doing business with Autodesk and/or its Partners.
• Provide partner with the relevant information, understanding their business workflow to create and close opportunities.
• Utilize Salesforce.com to document all customer opportunities and customer activity.
• Maintain Salesforce.com opportunities using probability definitions embedded to categorize opportunities accordingly to accurately forecast
against plans and targets weekly.
• Build strong relationships for business planning with each partner and with partner management team.
• Respond to partner and customer inquiries in a professional and prompt manner.
Job Requirements
• Applies sales skills associated with a cold calling sales model; strong verbal and written skills required.
• Familiarity with sales process and certain selling methodologies i.e. TAS.
• Familiarity with sales logging applications (i.e., Salesforce).
• Ability to adapt quickly and manage difficult situations while remaining upbeat and positive
• Strong work ethic: Team oriented, self-starter, high energy, and results oriented.
• Highly proficient computer skills including internet, SFDC, email, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Database management a plus.
