Eligibility Requirements
• Currently enrolled in a college or university
• Graduating between December 2016 – August 2017
• Authorized to work in the US
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented and enthusiastic software engineer to help us build the most reliable platform for world-wide online entertainment.
The Battle.net infrastructure is the backbone of the development pipeline and platform. We are providing the high-scaled technology that deploys, monitors and alerts the entire platform. Every optimization and improvement is multiplied by the rest of company effort. We are the heart of Blizzard initiative to provide the most epic service ever created.
Our ideal candidate has comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, and procedures in a professional software development environment. Great candidates should embrace Blizzard’s unique culture by sharing their knowledge and experiences amongst their peers through collaboration. Most importantly they must have a passion for video games and be able to thrive in a highly optimized, highly reliable and company critical environment.
Level Requirements
• Experience developing enterprise applications in .NET / C# or Node.js using object-oriented concepts
• Understanding of AJAX, MVC, HTML, and CSS
• Strong understanding of Web technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON
• Eager to learn new technologies
Recommended Talents
• Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
• Understanding of SOAP, WCF and Web services
• Fundamental understanding of performance monitoring
• Fundamental understanding of IIS
• Knowledge of agile software development
• Experience working in a continuous integration development environment
• Experience designing and implementing unit tests
