A Lot About You
As a Search Product Manager focused on Data and Tools, you will join a business critical team to develop products for data, reporting and tools, drive product vision and strategy, and partner with key stakeholders to manage the end-to-end execution of products that enable our customers. You are a self-starter with a can-do attitude. You like solving large data problems and understand the need for process and enabling these through products. You thrive on working through challenges from concept, to launch, and beyond. You are deeply customer focused and have great judgment resulting in awesome, high value products.
Your Day
• Partner strongly with your customers and analyze their needs to define product strategy.
• Build strong relationships across design and engineering teams to build and launch products.
• Drive the overall product vision, strategy, and requirement to fuel user growth and product evolutions. Iterate fast and release top products!
• Be able to evangelize and communicate the impacts of your product in ways that resonate at all levels of the organization.
• Lead cross-functional teams in delivering quality products and be efficient about prioritization and trade-offs.
• Deliver advances in the product by defining the roadmap, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive offerings and how they impact consumer choices and preferences, and how they should influence the product.
• Define product success metrics and analyze product performance by driving the product.
You Must Have
• Engineering degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and/or proven success in driving technical and functional products from concept to design
• Business degree is a definite plus
• At least 6 years of prior experience with at least 2 years in the Internet space
• Prior product management experience required. Be great at articulating product requirements and driving a robust roadmap
• Impeccable execution skills. Ideas and perfection are great but delivering product is a must!
• Comfortable working with Big Data and Analytics
• Self-driven, detail oriented, process oriented, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and manage expectations
Preferred Experience
• Demonstrated experience in data mining or using BI tools like MicroStrategy, Google Analytics, SQL, Tableau and in data modeling.
• Experience developing enterprise software products and understanding how to build impactful products to enable business teams.
• Industry experience or knowledge of of Hadoop technologies preferred (Pig, Hive, HBase, Storm, Spark, Solr)
