Yahoo currently has a Business Systems Analyst position available at our office in Sunnyvale, CA.
DUTIES: Works closely with customers to identify business roadmap and requirements. Interprets business needs and translates them into functional system architecture and requirements. Writes detailed functional design and specifications. Interacts closely with development and operations teams to implement new projects, enhancements to current system functionality or resolve production issues. Acts as the conduit between business user groups and Corp Apps development and operations teams. Responsible for implementing and supporting technology solutions enabling various business operations applications (e.g., finance, billing, payment, revenue recognition, accounting, talent acquisition, project management, core HCM). Gathers business requirements, assists in Integration and Acceptance Testing, supporting and development of training and implementation material, participating and leading in the implementation, and providing post-implementation support globally. Partners closely with relevant process owners, developers and other Corp Apps team members (e.g., HR, PMO, Finance …) to deliver optimized solutions, translate business requirements to technology solutions related to Billing, Revenue and Payment Applications, and prioritize, implement, test and support enhancements. Responsible for supporting and optimizing Core Finance platform including and not restricted to Billing/Revenue/Accounting applications. Works with operations, security and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to Yahoo Standards. Collects requirements for scoping, building and supporting business applications. Analyzes and designs short and long term solutions for the Yahoo's Billing, Revenue and Finance systems. Plans and Performs various test cycles like integration testing, and system testing. Plans and Performs Conference Room Pilot sessions for deployment. Plans and Performs User Acceptance Testing for deployment. Plans, organizes and conducts training to end users for deploying business solutions. Provides Production support to rolled out projects (go-live cut over process). Provides Production support for month end close activities. Designs and Deploys Custom Solutions leveraging Oracle Financials. Works with other business systems analysts and the development team in translating the business solution into technical designs. Creates documentation as appropriate related to creation of desktop manuals, test scenarios, test conditions, and test scripts.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Technology or related field followed by 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or an analyst or computer-related occupation.
Experience must include:
1. Experience with finance systems analysis, solution design, and deployment using Oracle applications and/or other Major ERP systems
2. 3 years of experience working with Oracle Financials: Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and other Financial modules.
3. Project management methodologies (Agile or Kanban or Waterfall)
4. SQL, TOAD for basic troubleshooting
5. Experience presenting ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language to end users and Senior management
6. Experience working with customer and improving the processes of the organization
