Job Summary:
Seeking an analytically minded and detail oriented direct marketer to own the development and execution of national testing strategy including A/B and multivariate testing (MVT). In this role you'll employ tests as a way to help tackle the biggest opportunities facing the business. This role leads the measurement council to share testing results and strategy across the organization including direct mail, email, and digital. This role partners closely with MarCom, Enterprise Business Intelligence, field marketing, and other various partners to execute successful direct marketing campaigns that inform and drive strategy for Comcast Cable. The ideal candidate has a successful career in direct marketing with emphasis on testing, segmentation, and leveraging data to optimize results. Experience working in a large, matrixed environment, on large scale campaigns will be critical for success.
Core Responsibilities:
• Serve as central owner for all multivariate testing efforts, a single point of contact for management and field marketing counterparts with respect to strategy, goal setting, planning, timelines, results, etc.
• Partner with Enterprise Business Intelligence on experimental design, accounting for interactions, and running results for MVT campaigns
• Work in partnership with campaign analytics professionals to deliver regular reporting on testing performance and to use this data to inform future strategy. Deliver regular performance updates to management as well as ad hoc analysis as requested
• Leverage experience with large direct mail campaigns to apply best practices and work across many areas to increase results through application of testing knowledge
• Work with MarCom and agency of record to develop best practice creative to be used in testing. Attention to detail is required in creative development to eliminate any variables in messaging, layout, etc. which could cloud test results. Travel as needed to printers for production audits to ensure high quality execution
• Partner internally in a matrix environment with field and corporate counterparts in communicating upcoming and ongoing tests, ensuring all parties are aligned and on schedule for their various deliverables
• Work with call centers for training as needed on upcoming programs, including sitting in call centers at the start of campaigns to ensure calls are handled according to script and orders executed properly with the focus being clean results for reading & interpreting test results
• Manage multivariate test 'playbook' which lists best practices, lessons learned, processes & procedures, results, etc.
Requirements:
• At least 8 years marketing experience
• Experience managing direct mail programs, including extensive experience in the design and development of tests
• Print/ production expertise supporting large programs at industry leading vendors
• Prior experience executing campaigns with 3rd party call centers; training, coaching, developing dynamic scripts
• Proven experience thriving in a matrix environment
• Exceptional excel and Powerpoint skills
• Bachelors degree from an accredited university, MBA preferred
• Demonstrated success in managing a complex workload with multiple priorities and tight deadlines with a focus on measuring results and performance improvement
• Analytically focused with exceptional attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure in a fun but fast paced and changing environment
