About the Creative Strategy Team:
The Creative Strategy team is key resource for Yahoo’s most valuable advertisers in planning and implementing their Search and Native campaigns. We develop and optimize the “creative” for advertisers by identifying relevant keywords, creating and testing effective ad copy and images, selecting appropriate landing pages, and targeting the right audiences – all to maximize our advertisers’ ROI. We’re always pushing the limits of how digital marketing can be used to achieve client success. About the Internship:
As an Intern, you will work alongside the Creative Strategist team and be given work experience that is similar to full-time employees. Your responsibilities will include:
• · Writing ad copy and creating mocks for advertisers
• · Assisting with keyword & image selection
• · Working on special ad-hoc projects related to account analysis, scaled reporting, reviewing competitive landscapes
• · Collaborating with cross-functional partners at Yahoo
• · Attending team meetings and presenting as needed
• · Meeting regularly with a mentor
The goal of this internship is to give you real world experience in creating optimizations for some of Yahoo’s biggest advertisers. You’ll not only learn what it takes to work at the world’s largest internet startup, you’ll also learn valuable digital strategies and expand your professional network.
Qualifications:
• Working towards a BA in Marketing or a related field at an accredited college or university
• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals & ability to write copy in a way that translates client marketing objectives
• Ability to solve problems and identify opportunities through the use of analytics, category expertise and critical thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to “think on your feet”.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
