Responsibilities
• You design and script deployment, configurations, and monitoring of all Rotten Tomatoes applications and services
• You own and operate several critical services like our Chronos/Mesos cluster, ELK cluster, and Jenkins build system
• You work with software engineers to tailor AWS environments suitable for their applications (instance sizing, scaling, caching, security, etc).
• You design and enforce best security practices in AWS
• You troubleshoot and resolve issues in our staging and production environments
• You champion high quality and infrastructure as code
Qualifications/Requirements
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years experience with Linux systems
• 5+ years experience scripting in languages such as Bash / Python / Perl
• 2+ years extensive experience with Amazon Web Services
• 2+ years experience with configuration management tools such as Chef / Puppet / Ansible
• 2+ years experience with build tools such as Jenkins / Maven / Ivy / Ant
• Experience with ELK, Docker, and Terraform preferred
•Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs
• Able to exercise discretion and keep strictest levels of confidentiality
•Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at the company’s sole discretion
