Job Summary:
In support of Comcast Business' network expansion efforts, the Business Development Manager is a highly motivated individual-contributor focused on fostering and maintaining relationships and business partnerships with Municipalities, Commercial Real Estate Developers, Major Commercial Property Owners/Managers, Industry Associations (for example, BOMA) and Key Constituents in the communities in which Comcast serves. The Business Development Manager works closely and cultivates relationships with Municipalities, Commercial Real Estate Developers, Major Commercial Property Owners/Managers, Industry Associations (BOMA), Economic Development Organizations, Chambers of Commerce to a) impart the ease of doing business with Comcast; b) provide information about existing and planned infrastructure expansion; c) ensure untethered access to existing infrastructure; d) ensure speedy and predictable completion of construction projects; and e) proactively identify near and long-term network expansion and partnership opportunities in alignment with Municipal, Developer, Property Owner/Manager objectives/priorities, and Comcast business development goals. In partnership with Comcast Market Development, Construction, Government Affairs and Sales Teams, the Business Development Manager leverages well-developed relationships to optimize revenue growth within target municipalities containing 1) areas with underserved broadband needs; and 2) strategic growth/Economic Development zones throughout the Region. The Business Development Manager will partner with cross functional internal stakeholders as well as with Division and HQ partners to evolve our strategic approach to Municipalities, Commercial Real Estate Developers, Major Properties Owners/Managers, BOMA Chapters and should expect to have regular opportunities to present and collaborate with senior leadership in furtherance of Comcast business objectives. The Business Development Manager has the requisite in-depth industry experience, knowledge and skills to ramp quickly and effectively navigate the myriad of internal/external customer issues that arise.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Establish and cultivate relationships with Municipalities, Commercial Real Estate Developers, Major Properties Owners/Managers, BOMA Chapters, Economic Development Organizations and Chambers of Commerce.
• Collaborate with Market Development, Senior Leadership and key internal stakeholders on near and long-term market development needs.
• Uncover and assume leadership role in formally responding to RFPs/RFIs or other informational requests from inception to completion/award in a timely fashion to ensure Comcast Business' value proposition is clearly articulated and is put in the best competitive position.
• Manage daily tasks, activities, and drive exemplary productivity metrics. Understands and successfully positions the Comcast Business value proposition to Municipalities, Commercial Real Estate Developers, Major Properties Owners/Managers, BOMA Chapters, Economic Development Organizations, Chambers of Commerce.
• Attend Municipal-oriented (Economic Development, Chambers of Commerce), Developer/Owner/Manager meetings and events within the specified territory and support marketing efforts with key decision makers.
Core Responsibilities:
• Creates and maintains client master data including margin analysis, prepared sales measurements and reports, processed transactions, returns, and exchanges according to Company guidelines.
• Provides overall direction of the Product Sales Support & Analysis team to drive lead generation, sales force database management, sales reporting, and production/control of presentations and proposals.
• Interfaces with appropriate internal groups (i.e., Accounting, Finance, Sales, Operations, IT, and Legal Affairs) to ensure proper analysis of tracking and reporting.
• Maintains sales forecasts and analysis for management reports.
• Maintains a high level of technical expertise and sales proficiency to meet the reporting needs on client activity.
• Generates daily activity reports, reporting, and trends.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Job Specification:

• Generally requires 6-9 years related experience.
