Global Delivery Operations Manager - Global Delivery, Agile at Scale
To accelerate our digital transformation journey we are building a significant, strategic delivery capability in Chennai and Colombo - Our Technology Delivery Centre. Since 2015 our teams in Chennai and Colombo have grown to over 2500 people delivering and supporting strategically important platforms, products and services for our internal users and learners globally.
As we look to evolve the Technology Delivery Centre to the next level, we are looking for a talented, experienced delivery professional to join the team to drive continuous improvement in our operational and delivery processes.
Job Description
Working with teams from Melbourne to San Francisco you will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across our heavily matrixed environment as we look to continually improve our speed to market, predictability and quality.
Responsibilities
• Identify opportunities for workforce optimisation, delivery and operational process improvements, quantify benefits, create and communicate compelling business cases for change.
• Develop implementation plans and change management strategies to drive the implementation of improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Global Delivery and Onsite stakeholders to define, implement and improve robust demand and supply processes.
• Define accurate, timely and up to date dashboards and reports for consumption at the team, function and executive level, summarising delivery and workforce status.
• Identify plan and implement the development of new capabilities and service offerings.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
• Experience working in a large technology delivery organisation (2000+ people), with a global delivery footprint and large scale use of third parties
• Familiarity with agile and waterfall approaches to software delivery at scale in an enterprise environment
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, processes metric and tools (E.g. Atlassian Jira, HP ALM, SonarQube, CheckMarx, ) preferably gained in a technology product or platform driven organisation.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to engage at the practitioner, manager and executive level.
• Ability to take the initiative, think creatively and develop innovative approaches and solutions.
• High degree of commercial awareness and able to create compelling business cases
• Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with delivery teams, project and portfolio managers , functional leads and executives
• Data analysis and reporting using modern data warehousing and visualisation technologies, such as google big query, Microsoft BI, Tableaux
