We currently have an opening for a Director, HR Business Partner in our San Francisco office. In this role, you’ll be leading the people strategy for the Engineering, Product and Design teams @Twitter. This will require you to roll-up your sleeves and also have you thinking strategically about complex people topics that need savvy approaches. You’ll lead a team of HR Business Partners and together, collaborate with your HR colleagues to deliver on your people strategy.
Success in this role looks like this: You and your team will have successfully established a strategic HR presence with help from HR peers across all regional offices. You will create and implement all aspects of a strategic people plan for your team to support and execute against. You will have earned the trust of your leadership team and built credibility to influence across all levels of the organization. You will have helped to elevate management and leadership capacity. You will have built strong, respectful relationships. You will have used relevant People data to have influenced the right outcomes for the business. You will have helped elevate Twitter’s employment brand and unique culture.

Your Role
Overall, you will take the lead in building (and driving) the People agenda to support the business goals of our technology business units. Specifically you will:
Work closely with leaders, teams and HR colleagues to identify opportunities, strategies and solutions to challenges within the business from a talent perspective such as:
• Coach and advise your HRBP team on a variety of components impacting employee experience: employee relations concerns, investigations, performance management, rewards and recognition, leaves of absence, local labor laws, compensation and benefits.
• Create and execute initiatives to drive exceptional organizational performance;
• Develop creative and effective talent retention strategies;
• Driving broad based initiatives including talent reviews, inclusion and diversity programs, workforce planning, talent analytics, and overall process improvements.
Create client solutions partnering with HR colleagues from inclusion and diversity, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, legal, learning and development and our global HR teams in EMEA, LatAm and APAC.
Employ operational discipline partnering with HR Ops and compensation to ensure accuracy in organizational hierarchy, pay, titling, and leveling.
Contribute to the development of change management strategies to support the organization wide rollout of talent programs and initiatives.
As an HR Business Partner, you will also play the key role of coach and advisor to business leaders and employees regarding talent programs, people dynamics and HR policies.
Your Background
• 12-15+ years as an HR business partner or other HR roles with increasing responsibility/complexity;
• Experience working in a faced paced, high growth, dynamic business environment; tech industry experience highly desired;
• Ability and courage to expertly coach and deliver frank and thoughtful feedback to senior executives; outstanding influencing skills;
• Experience building and delivering on a People strategy, particularly with a proven track record in the areas of HR program delivery and creation;
• Superior communication (verbal and written) skills and organizational consulting skills; ability to clearly state or represent a definitive position to and influence executive leadership on difficult business or employee issues;
• Demonstrated ability to partner with HR team members in regional offices on global talent issues;
• Outstanding problem-solving, critical/analytical thinking abilities;
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; demonstrated ability to develop relationships and influence at all levels within the organization;
• BA/BS in business administration, psychology or other related discipline;
• Some travel will be necessary in this role.
