Job Introduction
The BBC are looking to appoint a talented Digital Analytics Technical Specialist to help implement analytics tracking of BBC content syndicated across a number of partner platforms including websites, social networks, chat apps and streaming services.
Role Responsibility
• Lead the implementation of Analytics tracking for new Partners. This can range from the provision of existing code with some tweaks to entirely new tracking on platforms where a bespoke solution may be needed.
• Work closely with WS departments and our external Partners
• Troubleshoot partner tracking issues using relevant reports and dashboards to efficiently and fully diagnose problems before devising and implementing appropriate solutions in line with the organisation’s measurement requirements
• Develop new solutions for tracking BBC content as required. This will include working with Partners who provide API feeds with tracking information
• Work closely with our Analytics suppliers
• Be the key contact for analytics queries from Marketing and Audiences and Business Development.
The Ideal Candidate
The candidate will also have experience in the following -
• Good experience of a leading data analysis tool (eg Adobe SiteCatalyst; comScore; Google Analytics; IBM; Webtrends)
• Work confidently and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to lead the implementation of Analytics tracking and to lead the provision of bespoke solutions where necessary
• Experience of working with external digital partners in preferably a commercial environment. Demonstrable experience of diagnosing, logging and tracking technically complex problems across a variety of platforms
• Experience of providing support services to a diverse user base
• Excellent project management skills with knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies
• Strong decision-making ability and experience in identifying potential sources of risk. Ability to communicate risks and issues timely and appropriately
• Good experience of a leading data analysis tool (eg Adobe SiteCatalyst; comScore; Google Analytics; IBM; Webtrends).
• A strong technical business analyst with a good understanding of digital analytics across a variety of platforms
