Why is the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing important?
Charged with driving engagement and consumer revenue, the Senior Manager is a critical member of the team responsible for defining and driving our multichannel marketing strategy across a variety of platforms and media channels for Vogue, Glamour, and Self Consumer Marketing. The Senior Manager will play a key role in growing and monetizing our digital audience through an iterative, data-informed test and learn approach. As a creative multichannel marketer with a very strong understanding of data analytics, the Senior Manager will manage and execute initiatives across a number of internal and external teams.
The Position:
The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for acquisition and engagement of our digital audience with the goal of driving product and subscription revenue. A successful candidate will be a strong partner for edit, product and technology, and analytics teams focusing on priorities and optimizations to create and execute consumer marketing campaigns that optimize ROI and user experience.
The Senior Manager will:
• Develop strategies and tactics for driving customer relationships, optimizing data capture and growing product and subscription revenue.
• Own execution of consumer marketing programs from conception to launch and analysis.
• Develop and execute on a brand relevant marketing calendar translating that calendar into actionable and detailed cross-team briefs as required.
• Execute 360° marketing/engagement efforts, collaborating with internal and external teams to achieve revenue and engagement goals.
• Create, execute, and continually optimize a data-informed testing plan.
• Forecast, measure and report on results of marketing efforts, assessing results against relevant KPIs/goals.
• Evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels (mobile, web, social, and strategic partners) and turn learnings into actionable next steps.
• Identify and leverage native and content marketing opportunities to achieve goals.
• Collaborate with brand leads to maintain consistent brand voice and messaging.
Skill Set:
• Agile and fluid digital marketer with an ability to work with editorial and digital product teams to develop brand relevant marketing initiatives.
• Analytical and data-driven with a keen creative sensibility.
• Deep understanding of digital marketing best practices including SEO, SEM, social media, and email.
• Experience with direct response concepts and best practices, such as A/B testing, experimental design and statistical significance. Experience with Optimizely or Bounce Exchange desired.
• Strong working knowledge of analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Adobe Audience Manager, Parse.ly, or similar tools.
• Understanding of UX principles, including wireframes and requirements.
• Understanding of and experience manipulating CSS and HTML.
• Experience with a CMS.
• Facility with Adobe Photoshop and MS Office products, especially with Excel.
