AEG Live, the live-entertainment division of Los Angeles-based AEG, is dedicated to all aspects of live contemporary music performance: touring, one-offs, sponsorship, festivals, and special events with seventeen+ regional offices and over thirty-seven-state-of the-art venues. AEG Live’s most recent tour roster includes The Rolling Stones, Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull, and Justin Bieber.
AEG Live is also the largest producer of music festivals in North America from the critically acclaimed Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to Stagecoach Country Music Festival and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
The Director Digital Project Management will oversee digital marketing plans for some of our biggest shows and festivals, as well as manage a team of 6 Digital Project Managers. Leadership and organization skills are a must, as this person will oversee the beating heart of the department. Digital Project Managers may be on the road a lot, so maintaining interpersonal relationships is crucial to success. Digital Product Managers oversee marketing of hundreds of live shows and venues by region. They are expected to constantly communicate and oversee execution of best practices across email, social, media buying, CRM, reporting, etc. They are responsible for training local marketers as well as manage multiple budgets at once and place media that optimizes the right message, right time, right consumer, to drive ticket sales. Must be able to work collaboratively and have excellent communication skills. Responsible for reporting on ROI and ROAS, understanding success metrics, and leveraging centralized tools where appropriate.
Essential Duties:
-Create, edit and manage email marketing.
-Work with media team to execute media buys, optimize, and report on success.
-Manage team of Digital Project Managers.
-Collaborate and communicate with local marketing and venues to plan for shows and tours.
-Work with creative department to create unique assets and develop voice for tour/show/venue.
-Provide Analysis and Reports
Required Qualifications:
-A minimum education level of: BA/BS is Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related area. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience.
-7 Years of related work experience
-Knowledge and experience in omnichannel digital marketing.
-Demonstrate creativity and documented immersion in Social Media
-Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
-Exhibit the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
-Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+Local, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
-Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
-Experience buying digital media and executing a digital media plan
-Exceeds at building and maintaining sales relationships, online and offline
-Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide employees when necessary (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
-Analytical and able to use data to drive decisions
-Proficient in excel (model building a plus)
-Ability to multitask and run multiple campaigns, organization is a must
-Functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress preferred
-Demonstrated winning Social Customer Service techniques with great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
-Advanced degree preferred
-Understanding of data architecture preferred
