Job Description
At Massive, UI programmers are involved in all aspects of developing the game; frequently working on Gameplay and other tasks in their day-to-day work. Your primary focus will be on supporting Artists make the best UI possible for Tom Clancy’s The Division. The UI team at Massive participates and helps shape the entire pipeline of game features, from concept to design, to implementation. The UI team works with some of the industry’s best tools with the in-house engine Snowdrop™ which allows instant feedback in game, allowing constant iteration and easy prototyping using a Node Graph system.
You will be part of a friendly team including Artist (both technical and traditional), Designers and Programmers, working closely together to create world leading UI.
This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite.
Responsibilities
• Support UI Artists by adding or extending Engine functionality
• Help design and implement Gameplay Systems
• Create prototypes of new features
• Help UI Artists improve the performance of their work
• Performance awareness in algorithms as well as in memory and bandwidth usage
• Development in a multithreaded environment
• Collaborate with other teams to craft the best player experience possible

You are friendly and approachable; you enjoy programming games and like to be on the cutting edge of UI. You have an eye for quality and will not settle for less that perfection.You enjoy solving problems and are able to think about how things work technically while ensuring the best experience and tools for the UI Artists.
Qualifications
Required skills and experience
• Excellent C++ programming skills
• Prior experience as a UI or Gameplay Programmer
• Strong communication skills
• Teamwork skills
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Ability to accurately predict task duration and understand dependencies
• 2+ years of professional Programming experience in the video game industry.
Bonus skills
• Working with other Node Based Visual Scripting Languages
• Multithreaded development
• Experience of developing a AAA title from concept to release
• Experience working with PS4 or XBOX One
