SCOPE AND IMPACT OF JOB
The Sr. Software Solutions Manager shares the responsibility for planning, designing, and managing the development of technology applications for the Rights and Royalties solution platform. The Sr. Software Solutions Manager is active in all phases of development, from gathering customer input and requirements through user interface design and specification writing to quality assurance testing. Working with Enterprise Architecture, System Providers, Technology Delivery teams and the Business functional leads, the role is a key interface point between the business team and the technology delivery teams.
Key Deliverables
• Track and prioritize software feature requests
• Define the business case for specific feature requirements
• Research user needs and expectations for specific feature requirements
• Write use cases; functional specifications; and test plans for specific feature requirements
• Perform acceptance and ad-hoc functional testing of new features
• Collaborate with staff or freelance designers and team members to develop a cohesive user experience and interface for new features
• Conduct (or assist with) usability testing, user development conferences, and focus groups
• Monitor and review the development of specific features including software engineering, QA, and documentation
• Be an IT business partner for the Rights and Royalties function and drive continuous improvements across the Rights and Royalties systems landscape
• Support best practise IT Rights and Royalties processes
• Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required
• Report and highlight workstream risks and issues to the project management team
Qualifications
Essential Skills /Experience
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
• Extensive experience in a software solutions management, UI design, business analysis, or similar role
• In-depth familiarity with software design, development, and release
• Previous experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Software Engineer.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills.
• A track record of building, maintaining and managing strong relationships within an international business and across many different stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication skills and understanding of how information should be presented to get across important issues to different groups of stakeholders
• Proactive in seeking information, challenging norms and driving efficiency
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively assess and resolve complex issues and problems
Workstream/Line Management Skills
• An excellent collaborative team player, able to take on a broad range of perspectives, influence positively and act as a critical friend
• Track record of effectively delivering large scale programmes through a team
Desirable Skills
• Experience working with Oracle solutions
• 1 or more language other than English
