Position Summary:
Human Resources Assistant to support the Talent Acquisition and HR Operations departments in the Washington, DC and New York City offices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain confidential employee files, physical and electronic. Manage the checkout procedure for employee files. Create electronic scans of files and documents for storage.
• Coordinate the onboarding of new employees, to include:
◦ New Hire processing within the web based Onboarding system and ensuring generation of accurate New Hire alerts.
◦ Coordinate production of new hire packets and orientation materials.
◦ Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations for DC based hires as well as remote hires and ensure all required documents are collected and processed in a timely fashion.
◦ Ensure Form I-9s are received in time, filed accurately in both the manual and electronic systems, and kept up-to-date (to include the timely removal of terminated employees from the active files).
◦ Assist with new employees hired via our contract approval process (contract collection, tracking, documentation collection in web based Onboarding system, and new hire alert generation and distribution).
• Maintain and generate various reports including, but not limited to, the Termination report, I-9 report, and CAF report.
• Prepare and send all employee status alerts to internal company distribution list.
• Respond to employee inquires, and/or escalate to appropriate specialist.
• Receive and respond to routine correspondence following established procedures (including unemployment claims, reference checks, and employment verifications).
• Generate and send HR Communications for DC and other events/locations as requested.
• Assist with DC based events such as:
◦ HR events and meetings (i.e. SiriusXM Start, Management Trainings etc.).
◦ All employee events (i.e. Ice Cream Fling, Summer BBQ, October Employee Gathering and Holiday Gathering etc.).
• Compile information and prepare materials for presentation or analysis.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of administrative experience in a corporate setting.
• 1 year of recruitment support experience within Staffing and/or Operations strongly preferred.

• Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
• Legible penmanship.
• 45 WPM typing speed with high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Working experience with ADP, ICIMS, Taleo or similar applicant tracking system strongly preferred.
