We’re looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join Snap Inc! Working closely with the Procurement team, you will support the implementation of purchasing and contract management processes for our rapidly growing IT Team. You will be our expert in Procurement processes and Netsuite workflow. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with existing Procurement team members to ensure we’re managing our costs while providing operational support to our IT colleagues and clients.
What you’ll do:
• Execute and support Snap Inc.’s competitive bidding processes for significant purchases
• Make sure IT is compliant with Snap Inc.’s Purchasing Policy
• Create, accurately code, and ensure Purchase Requests are approved in a timely manner
• Work with vendors to confirm purchases and ensure availability by “need by” dates
• Perform invoice approvals and work with Accounts Payable to resolve payment issues
• Support purchasing reporting needs
• Track and monitor contract expirations to facilitate contract renewals
• Create and ensure the execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements, as well as Privacy and Security reviews
What we’re looking for:
• An undergraduate degree in Business or Supply Chain
• 3+ years experience in purchasing and/or vendor management with an emphasis in information technology spend categories
• Knowledge of IT hardware, services, and software acquisition methods
• Excellent organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and a passion for negotiating the best possible deals given technical and business constraints
• Experience with conducting price and product analysis
• Ability to structure competitive bids between suppliers
• Strong analytical skills, and a mastery of Microsoft Office and Google Docs
• Someone who puts an emphasis on customer service and collaboration with internal partners
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment with significant levels of ambiguity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders
