Position Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) functional solutions in the areas of application integration and workflow to the technical design and development organizations. This position works closely with the Business Users and IT Staff to propose and create functional designs for high complexity projects and maintenance efforts. This position leads integrated design reviews to develop and support optimal IT solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a lead liaison between business owners and technology teams, leading and managing planning work, identifying issues and needs, building consensus, and developing solutions across units as required.
• Perform as a solutions lead in cross-functional integrated IT programs through the full SDLC lifecycle.
• Design service interfaces using technologies such as REST, SOAP, and Messaging.
• Translate business process decomposition models into services with well-defined interfaces.
• Develop standards and frameworks which enable the identification and implementation of shared business and technical services within the organization.
• Research and develop SOA patterns based on industry conventions and the needs of the business.
• Lead other teams to investigate issues, determine root-cause, business impact, and evaluate resolution priority.
• Using both functional and technical knowledge, help users solve problems, design solutions, and help develop process and technology solutions that meet business needs.
• Conducts process analyses, needs assessments, and cost-benefit analysis for the corporate solutions team.
• Manages planning activities, including road-mapping, release planning, and development of documented solution visions and roadmaps.
• Identify and define opportunities and enhancements for assigned services and work with business users to prepare business cases to support such initiatives.
• Manages required documentation for projects, presentations, business cases, project vision documents, business requirements, data process flows, product release notes and product training documentation.
• Drive business units, vendors, and technology teams to identify and manage change agendas, prioritize work, and develop implementation plans.
• Responsible for developing solution requirements, ensuring final solution quality, and measuring solution success.
• Builds strong relationships with the business as well as with internal technology groups.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• There are currently no supervisory responsibilities associated with this job.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and/or equivalent education and experience.
• 10+ years of work experience demonstrating escalating responsibilities.
• 5+ years of SOA experience.
• 7 - 10 plus years of Functional or System Analysis experience.
• Senior SOA Development and Design experience.
• 8+ years' experience working in a complex IT environment.
• Experience working in AGILE teams.
• Strong knowledge of designing SOAP and REST Web Services.
• Working Knowledge of UML, SQL, JMS, XML, Oracle. Java knowledge preferred.
• Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of various business process and system modeling tools including; Data Flow Diagrams, Process Models, ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, Context Models, Event Modeling, State Modeling, Process decomposition, and Use Case Scenarios.
• Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of the system development life cycle and can train others on SDLC concepts.

Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (Tibco preferred).
• Experience with Service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Working Knowledge of UML, SQL, JMS, XML, Oracle. Java knowledge preferred.
• Experience with SOAP and REST Web Services.
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, MS Project).
