Position Summary:
The Senior Product Manager, Connected Vehicle position is responsible for defining, creating and evolving a set of Connected Vehicle services, and ensuring selected services are communicated to the SXM developmental organization, and delivered to specifications agreed upon between SXM and its OEM customer. This includes innovating and creating a best-in-class roadmap for service evolution and expansion. The responsibilities also include leading Agile development teams to deliver the defined services.
Success in this position will be based on three criteria: widest selection and adoption of SXM services, accurate definition of an OEM's expectation of services to be fulfilled, and innovation to create best-in-class roadmap for Sirius XM service evolution.
In developing the required services, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to recommend solutions that balance the vehicle owner's operational environment with the growing requirement to view the vehicle as a ubiquitous service delivery device.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Function as a member of the Connected Vehicle Product Management team.
• Guide service development where the vehicle owner is the primary beneficiary, the vehicles manufacturer is the primary beneficiary and the vehicle data can be utilized fo additional economic gain.
• Develop appropriate service requirements documents that will in turn be utilized by the engineering team for services implementation.
• Guide the Agile teams responsible for services implementation.
• Represent the needs of end-users, evaluate market trends and competition, and use this information to determine the best matching of services to OEM needs.
• Assist in setting out a vision for refining and standardizing services, pricing and service package offering.
• Maintain an atmosphere of cohesiveness and focused collaboration between all the members of the team.
• Work closely with User Experience and Engineering teams to define performance metrics for each new feature and to determine an effective test plan.
• Where requested, engage with a broad range of potential suppliers and subcontractors to identify new service or process solutioning.
• Develop comprehensive key metrics to track implementation effectiveness.
• Assist in building new solution business model constructs with Finance and the OEM Partnership team.
• Assist in formulating business models based on the recommended services offering.
• Assist in developing prices.
• Determine the business relationships necessary to execute the services.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering/business or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 5-7 years Product Management (inclusive of strategic planning and tactical implementation).
Requirements and General Skills:
• Solid public speaking and presentation skills.
• Customer focus with proven ability to establish productive working relationships at all levels and influence change with internal and external business partners.
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong follow-up skills required.
• Ability to maintain good balance of strategic vision and tactical implementation.
• Must have the ability to travel in the U.S. and Internationally.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• A strong grasp of Telematics, mobile applications, Cloud, and connectivity technologies will enable the ideal candidate to communicate that service implementation to various SiriusXM technical teams, such as User Experience, Engineering, Program Management and the executive leadership team, and to effectively guide the Agile development teams responsible for service development.
• Technical and business acumen developed through education and work experience in the area of Telematics, connected device service development, interactive technologies and/or app development.
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
