Working within Ubisoft’s Technology Group, the Rendez-Vous online services team is hiring experienced programmers. Rendez-Vous is a client-server development platform offering online services such as matchmaking, statistics, real-time leaderboards, user storage and many more. This middleware is integrated into Ubisoft famous games like Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, Far Cry and Just Dance. It can support millions of players and up to many hundred thousand concurrent users.
The incumbent will be responsible to promote and improve the quality of the daily versions or the product used by Ubisoft studios worldwide.
Responsibilities
• Develop automatic tests and validation tools to increase reliability of the versions of the product
• Implement and integrate tools into the build process in collaboration with the build master
• Promote and verify that the processes put in place are followed by the team members of the project
• Support and resolve the problems related to the tests and tools developed
• Generate statistics by collecting key performance indicators for reliability
• Document test procedures to ensure the team members know how to use the tools developed
• Develop applications to support the tasks related to quality assurance (build system, source control interaction, bug database integration, etc.)
• Develop tools to automate tests and detect bugs to notify people involved in their resolution
• Analyze reported bugs and find the root cause
• Interact with the development team and promote good code quality, good practices, enforce standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
Qualifications and technical skills required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Minimum of 1 to 3 years working experience in Quality Assurance in a software development company, ideally in video games, or any other relevant experience
