DESCRIPTION:
CBS Television Stations (CTS) is seeking a Vice President of Traffic Operations who will have overall responsibility for the Traffic operations and business for all of CTS. We are centralizing the traffic function, moving from a team at each of our television stations, to six regional teams along with the Traffic group located at our Riverside, NJ facility. Each regional traffic team will be led by a Director of Traffic, which will report into the VP, Traffic Operations. This position will require strong leadership skills and the ability to identify, hire, and develop staff in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role will be located at our Riverside, NJ facility.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the six hub teams that support the traffic function at stations throughout the country.
• Drive change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results including, but not limited to, a seamless transition to WideOrbit.
• Establish advertising traffic operations strategies and develop and monitor advertising traffic plans and deadlines.
• Recognize profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities.
• Create and develop long-term plans to focus on strengths, competitive advantage, and differentiation.
• Develop and implement methodologies and systems for inventory identification, tracking, and billing.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Sales Operations departments to resolve schedule problems and other related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements:
• Experience managing and developing staff in a structured and efficient television traffic environment.
• Proven ability to structure work flow and methodologies for assimilation and dissemination of traffic information.
• Capacity to work creatively to formulate new methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage subordinate Directors of Traffic who oversee assigned traffic functions.
• Minimum of 8 years in a major market with management experience.
• Experience with WideOrbit preferred.
