Netflix is seeking a Content Distribution Specialist to focus on our original anime series content - from managing the final digital asset delivery to setting up the global launch of each title. The position is on site in our Tokyo office.
In this role you will:
• Own multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely, accurate delivery of worldwide assets for film and TV content (video, metadata, subtitle, dub audio, etc)
• Manage Japanese local production partnerships from end to end
• Liaise with production and post-production teams, ensuring key dates and delivery milestones are communicated and consistently met
• Coordinate localization of subtitles and dubs in several languages for global launch
• Stay highly aligned with cross-functional teams, including content acquisitions, post-production, product, finance, engineering, encoding, QC, localization and marketing
• Master our digital asset management system, be a champion for technical innovation
• Troubleshoot any issues quickly with internal and external partners
• Continually evaluate our workflows and tools for scale and efficiency

Do you have what it takes?
• Native level or bilingual proficiency in speaking and writing in both Japanese and English
• Strong understanding of anime production workflows, schedules and delivery
• Depth experience in digital media
• Proven project management and team leadership
• Prior experience in a studio, post-production house or online content provider highly valued
• Working knowledge of post-production workflow and technical terms (i.e., various video formats, subtitle file formats)
• Knowledge of and appreciation for the Japanese television and film businesses
• Leadership and business (domestic and international) skills to raise the anime production industry bar in Japan.
