The accounting manager is responsible for supporting the U.S. Latin business unit with financial reporting and detailed financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in monthly preparation of Management Account close activities including: researching general ledger activity, preparing journal entries, analyzing account balances and transaction detail, balance sheet analysis, and corporate reporting.
• Conduct variable cost variance analysis and other ad hoc management reporting analysis.
• Support analysis of talent activity for the label, including analysis of capitalized artist advance balances as well as monthly artist study reviews and adjustments, allocation of artist payments/advances, and corresponding forecast requirements.
• Assist with annual budget process including but not limited to internal requirements and reporting into Hyperion/BPC.
• Monitor, review and analyze all monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet Analysis, Income Statement, Cash Reconciliations, and liabilities for reasonableness and proper accounting treatment.
• Plan, review and assist with timely preparation of audit packages for external auditors and internal corporate reporting requirements including any follow-up issues, requests and analysis.
Qualifications:
I. Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, etc.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required. Experience in one of the 4 big public accounting firms preferred.
• Highly proficient for Excel and enterprise accounting systems, such as SAP or similar.
