Job Description:
The Digital Media Supervisor reports to the Media Director, supervising specific groups of Senior Digital Media Planners and/or Digital Media Planners and Assistant Media Planners. The Digital Media Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates for client's products and/or services. Along with the Media Director, the Digital Media Supervisor is responsible for the quality control of all media planning and implementation along with working with the media team to continually evaluate and improve upon media opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage 2 to 5 Senior Media Planners and/or Media Planners and Assistant Media Planners
• Provide digital media expertise, share media knowledge and providing continuous feedback
• Foster environment of shared learning and acts as a trusted source of media information for agency and in client meetings
• Ultimate responsibility for delivering the highest quality media planning for one or more clients
• Lead role on strategy development
• Assign and manage workload of direct reports
• Responsible for results analysis
• Train and mentors subordinates on best practices of digital media planning/buying
• Day to day main media client contact
• Partners with Account Management, Creative and Client Engagement Groups
• Implements agency and departmental policies for team including timesheets, vacation, overall team management
• Contributes to new business efforts as needed
• Writes Agency POV's
• Organizes and attends vendor meetings
• Assist with interviewing, hiring and training of new Media Planners
• Contribute and help lead media training efforts
• Plan and execute media plans and provide analysis when necessary
• Represents agency at online advertising/media conferences and trade shows
Qualifications:
• BA/BS Required
• 6+ years of overall Media Planning experience, minimum of 3 years online media planning
• Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing skills of junior staff
• Demonstrated ability to teach analytic skills to junior staff
• Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Solid presentation skills to senior audiences
• Knowledge of Atlas, and other comparable Ad Serving technology
• Knowledge of Media and research tools (comScore, MRI, eMarketer)
