We have a unique opportunity to join a small development group that is breaking new ground in the way data warehouses and business intelligence solutions are designed, developed, and delivered to customers. Using leading edge technologies, agile practices, and continuous delivery models, help us redefine and optimize our Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions in a cloud-based world. We will extend the reach of information through self service access to improve both decision making and institutional performance for institutions worldwide.
• Bring everything you know about developing software to become an expert in our BI technology stack and innovate solutions from concept to code!
• Become an active member of an agile team of developers. Participate in daily stand-ups, design sessions, and peer code reviews.
• Stay appraised of new and/or improved technologies. The development of big data solutions, machine learning, cloud-based technologies, and business intelligence software is moving rapidly.
• Be willing to respond to the unique challenges of delivering and supporting data warehouse and prediction products. This includes troubleshooting live production databases, minimizing downtime, and responding to client-reported issues.
• Be curious, explore, and thrive in the face of difficult problems.
Professional Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a background in data warehouse and data science development, a passion for technology, and a strong foundation in software development, problem solving, analytical thinking, and strong written & verbal communication skills.
Required Skills:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data science, data warehousing and business intelligence
• Proven skills working with Relational Databases and BI reporting technologies
• Proven skills architecting, building and launching new data models that provide intuitive analytics to your customers
• Proven skills creating and training machine learning algorithms
• Fluent in SQL, R and Python
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or other Cloud technologies
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills:
• Data visualization experience
• Detailed understanding of statistics and inference
• Understanding of database performance tuning techniques
• Experience with Snowflake, Hadoop and/or other big-data technology stacks
