To further improve our product experience for original content we are looking for an experienced product manager to drive key areas of our global originals product strategy across platforms.
About this role…
The person in this role will own and drive key areas of our product innovation for our expanding slate of original content: feature films, documentaries, and originals in international markets.
The focus of this role is to develop and test feature and content promotion enhancements for original content that improve metrics across the Netflix experience. Our rigorous, testing-driven innovation model focuses on exploring and defining great ideas then validating them through live testing. This approach is at the intersection of creativity and analytics and requires someone with strong right and left brain skills. To accomplish their work, this product manager will work cross-functionally with our engineering, design, content, marketing, and data sciences teams to develop and execute their ideas. This role reports to the Vice President of Product Innovation.

Our product innovation roles drive the roadmap and agenda for engineering and design and do not have direct reports to ensure dedicated focus.
Key responsibilities
• Defining, developing, and testing feature enhancements for original content on a global scale across all platforms of the Netflix member experience
• Leading cross-functionally with teams across Netflix to develop and execute your ideas through all aspects of the product development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and productization
• Engaging and collaborating with our content and marketing teams to define and shape new product ideas for originals title promotion
Experience/Skills
• 8 years experience in areas of product development with history defining great metrics-moving ideas- Experience and demonstrated leadership working effectively with design and engineering teams is a must
• Consumer-focused product experience in entertainment is a strong advantage
• Experience working cross-functionally with marketing and/or content development teams is a big plus
• Proven instincts about user experience, design, and consumer needs
• Understanding of quantitative research methods such as AB testing and analytics
• Direct experience in product design and/or engineering is a big plus
• A strong critical thinker with a balance of creative and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to excel in a dynamic, intellectual, results-driven environment
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; post-graduate degree preferred
• A passion for TV and movies and defining the future of entertainment
• Availability for frequent travel between our northern and southern California offices<!---->
