Blackboard IT is seeking a QA Analyst of Enterprise Applications. This role will have primary accountability for testing various web applications, PeopleSoft FSCM, Sales Force and Oracle Fusion. The testing would include projects undergoing new development and regular maintenance cycles.
The QA team is responsible for working with functional business analysts and developers in the selection, design, deployment, support, and on-going enhancement of business applications. This group supports Enterprise ERP ecosystem processes and technology including Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) as well as Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Plan-to-Make (PTM), Record-to-Report (RTR) process areas as well as process areas, and provides the mechanism for ensuring consistency and repeatability in how such applications are delivered and managed across the enterprise.
Responsibilities will include:
Strategy and Direction:
• On-schedule task delivery within planned cost and agreed scope
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with other team members to understand testing needs and translate them into quality systems and reporting solutions
• Develop knowledge on all HR & finance modules as cross-training
Project planning and management:
• Collaborate closely with the PMO & Release organizations to govern intake and scheduling of projects and delivery of solutions
• Assist/perform cost/benefit analysis of tools used for testing efforts
• Collaborate closely with relevant vendors for testing activities
Business process and systems analysis experience:
• Provide QA support to project initiatives and system enhancement requests, with specific accountability for the following tasks:
◦ System scoping
◦ System testing, integration testing, regression testing and end to end testing
◦ Interpreting business requirements and creates test scenarios accordingly
◦ Liaison between end-users and developers
◦ Support the development team with testing and reporting defects
◦ Working closely with the business analyst to get thorough knowledge of requirements.
◦ Provide regular status on test related activities.
• Provide daily support to development/ business team in troubleshooting and replicating issues.
• QA liaison with technical team and business for issues or enhancements needing IT support.
Professional Qualifications
Required Skills:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Business or Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of software testing experience
• Experience testing in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Salesforce, or other)
• Knowledge of writing/executing test plans, test cases plus experience with understanding functional requirements, test coverage, defect entering/tracking and proving test results and status on a regular basis.
• Experience with end to end testing and UAT with end users.
• Experience in agile testing methodologies.
• Experience with data migration testing.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience configuring/supporting Salesforce (CRM), Oracle HCM or Procure-to-Pay (PO, Requisitions, AP) and PeopleSoft (General Ledger, Contracts, Billing, AR, Order Management, Inventory, Asset Management) strongly preferred
• Techno-functional Cloud and on premise ERP applications experience
• Understanding of ERP Internet Architecture and its technical components including: People Tools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Designer, PeopleSoft Cobol, Integration Broker, Component Interface, security, workflow, customization standards, reporting (BI, SQR, Crystal, Query)
• Hands-on SQL experience using technologies such as MS-SQL and Oracle DB
• Experience with functional automation using QTP/Selenium which includes writing, executing and maintaining test scripts.
