Having exceeded attendance and financial projections in each year since opening in 2007, AEG/Sprint Center has provided nearly $10 million in unanticipated revenue to the City of Kansas City through a revenue sharing provision in the arena management agreement.
Position Summary:
Cash Room Attendant will be responsible for operation of the day to day cash handling, including processing of event cash receipts, bank deposits/discrepancies and reconciliation by maintaining event reports of funds processed. All responsibilities will be consistent with AEG Kansas City policies and regulations.
Essential Duties:
Preparing beginning tills, processing event cash receipts and event cash drops.
Balancing total of each cash drop and final cash entries, by location.
Data entry of all cash receipts and drops by location.
Ensuring that retail locations have adequate change during events.
Preparing daily bank deposits and beginning tills with 100%.
Maintaining the safe funds and log entries, if directed.
Responsible for processing change orders, if directed.
Performing administration duties as required by Director of Merchandise.
Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):
• A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
• Possess excellent communication skills and etiquette.
• Accurate cash handling and math skills.
• Strong attention to details, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Previous successful experience in cash handling & retail knowledge an asset.
• Ability to multi-task in busy office environment with specific timelines.
• Dependability and effective decision making/problem solving skills.
• Computer, clerical, data entry skills.
• Possess a strong work ethic and integrity.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 4+ hours.
• Ability to communicate, detect, observe, exchange information with guests, staff & supervisors.
• Ability to frequently move about venue.
